What's The Rush?
What do you get when you combine the highest, longest, fastest
Bungy, Swing or Giant Flying Fox Ride with a Grade 5 Wet and Wild
Rafting Trip? You Get the Rush!
Small towns slide by as you drive State Highway 1, through the
central North Island of New Zealand. There is little that really
says to you - Get off the Main Road - Go Explore!
The Rangitikei District, situated south of the mighty volcanoes of
Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe, is one of those places where the
Main Road is best left behind.
An area that is easily driven through, but what surprises there
are in store off that Main Highway.
What Is The Rush to Find?
For the adrenaline seeker, this area has two of New Zealand's Must
Do's !
Two Total Rushes!
Gravity Canyon is New Zealand's biggest Adventure playground,
located alongside the Rangitikei River deep within the Mokai
Canyon. You can choose to face you fears by Bungy jumping 80
metres off New Zealand's Highest Bridge Bungy, Freefalling 50
metres into the Mokai Canyon above the mighty Rangitikei River or
Ride the World's most Amazing Flying Fox at 1.1km long,
reaching speeds of up to 160kph.
Further upstream The Grade 5 section of the Rangitikei River,
runs the length of this district, is often regarded as one of
the top half day, Grade 5 White Water Rafting trips in
the world.
Grade 5 is the most exciting white water commercially
rafted.
Do Both of These in One Day and What Do You
Get?
Doing both of these activities in a 24 hour period gives you the
Rangitikei Rush!
Top white water rafting combined with some fear of high places,
and then jumping off them.
Feel The Rush!
The Rush Deal
Bungy or Swing or Flying Fox = Scarey jumping off high
places
Grade 5 Rafting = Wet and Wild

Why River Valley Lodge?
River Valley Lodge is New Zealand's first true Adventure Lodge.
The Lodge was built for the needs of active, adventurous, fun
people.

staying and hanging out with other adventurous people.
In What Order Do You Do Everything?
The Rangitikei Rush works on you visiting Mokai Gravity Canyon
during the afternoon of Day 1, and rafting the mighty Rangitikei
the following morning.
However, there is some flexibility in this, and if this does not
