FAQ

  • How Does it Work ?

The Chairlift is a completely counter-balanced system. With a two-person chair on one end, and a large water-filled cylinder on the other, it works just like a see-saw - when the chair weighs more than the cylinder you are lowered to the river, and when the water-filled cylinder weighs more than the chair you are brought back to the bridge again. Simple!

  • Will the Rope Hold ?

As small as it looks the 14mm Superbraid Rope has a safe working load of 8 tonne, so with a maximum weight load of 600kg we are well within it's limits!

  • Are there any restrictions?

There is no minimum weight limit for the chairlift, so it is able to accomodate for those who are not old enough or heavy enough to complete any of our other activities.  You must be at least 10 years old to ride by yourself, or if aged between 5 and 10 years you must have an adult riding with you. If you are under 16 years you also require parental consent.

  • How much does it cost?

The cost of a chairlift ride is NZD $40 per person. Please go to our Book Now or Shop page for details of product pricing.
